Thailand is entering the Social Value Era.

And VVN is the power that will take us through the Valley of Death to the real IMPACT✨**

Research and innovation are only “meaningful” when they actually produce economic, social and environmental outcomes.

25 Nov. SVFORUM - COP25 - Come follow the Catalyzing Policy, Capital & Innovation (4 EP) forum . Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nopporn Leepreechanon clearly emphasized that

🔹 The NRCT is not just the work of researchers, but also an ecosystem that connects policy, capital, innovation, and real users.

🔹 IMPACT can only happen when researchers x investors x social demand walk on the same Impact Pathway.

🔹 The goal is not to create a shelf-stable research project, but to overcome the Valley of Death and achieve tangible economic, social, and environmental outcomes.

And this is why the VVN community must meet at the Social Value Forum & IMPACT Partnership Platform (IPP).

Because “Thailand’s future” will be created by people who believe in the shared values of society.

.

Come listen to the thinking of leaders who are creating real change in Thailand.

EP1 What is the VVN? And why is it important to all Thai people?

The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) is a “system” that connects people, knowledge, and capital to create change at the national level. It is not just about researchers or universities, but a structure that enables Thailand to:

  • Create knowledge and technology that meets real needs

  • Improving the quality of life of the people

  • Helping countries compete and adapt in a rapidly changing world

  • Solve chronic problems such as poverty, health, agriculture and the environment with new methods, not the old ones.

R&D = New model of national security because no country can achieve sustainable development without a strong research and innovation system.

EP2 VVAN and IMPACT: Research is meaningless if it doesn't produce results.

Much research is “shelf-settled” because it is not connected to real-world applications. This is a key gap known as the Valley of Death.

The duties of the VVN are:

  • Clearly show the route from “A to B”

  • Connecting research ↔ innovation ↔ application ↔ human impact

  • and create a system that makes investors/innovators “believe” that the impact will actually happen.

Because IMPACT is not good news, but “demonstrated change.”

The NRCT helps investors (both public and private) to be confident that every baht invested:

  • Contributes to the economy (EC)

  • Reduce social problems (SC)

  • Care for resources and the environment (EN)

This is the crucial role of the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) in transforming “research” into “the hope of the nation.”

EP.3 Triangle Power: Triangles that move mountains for truly expansive impact

The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) cannot create an impact alone; it needs the combined strength of “three sectors” or Triangle Partners.

1) Researcher

We must bring real social issues into the core of research. Think systematically, not just in terms of results.

2) Investors / Private Sector

There must be room for new opportunities to be discovered, and a “system” that builds confidence in social returns.

3) Demand Side (Society – Market – Area)

The voice of the people must determine the direction of innovation, not innovation dictating society.

When these three forces are connected, the Impact Pathway is clear and can move mountains.

This is why the NRCT is the most important “intermediary” of the new development ecosystem.

EP.4 Ecosystems and Networks: The Heart of National Impact Creation

Thailand cannot achieve national results if various sectors work in isolation.

What we need is a strong ecosystem and working entities.

The roles of the NRCT and PMU are:

  • Create a platform for different sectors to meet

  • Connecting capital – research – users – policymakers

  • Create continuous learning and development

  • Support researchers who “think for society”

  • and push research to the TRL, CRL, MRL levels that are ready to expand

This is the key goal of the SV Forum – COP25 Movement , which invites “Van people” to join together in designing a new future for Thailand.

Conclusion: The Social Value Era is the heart of the Social Value Era and the future of Thailand.

Thailand is at a crucial turning point, and VVN is the connecting force:

Policy × Capital × Innovation × User Partners

To overcome the Valley of Death and create a measurable, transparent and sustainable development system.

Today… Thailand needs not only innovation, but also outcomes that create value for all Thais.

And IMPACT PARTNERSHIP is a platform, a place and a starting point for joining forces to create the future of Thailand.

Because impact creation doesn't happen in the meeting room, but when "players are connected".

IPP is designed to be:

  • Database of Impact Creators and Social Innovators

  • Areas where investors search for new opportunities

  • Partner matching system for provinces, industries and research units

  • A channel for private sector investment that is “transparent, verifiable, and measurable”

  • An important tool of the NRCT in pushing research into practical use.

On this platform, all sectors will begin to see the “same picture” of the Impact Pathway and will be able to jointly create “national outcomes”.

“JOIN MOVEMENT. ACCELERATE IMPACT. BUILD VALUE. SHAPE THAILAND'S FUTURE.”
